Unlike most MiLB facilities, BB&T BallPark doesn’t have a dedicated parking lot, but its location in uptown Charlotte means that baseball fans have a wide range of parking options to consider. There are many parking garages and lots within a few blocks of BB&T BallPark, and while the uptown business community uses them during the day, vacancies quickly increase after 5 p.m.
If you want to be extremely close to the ballpark, the Mint Street Garage is your best bet. It can accommodate more than 2,000 vehicles and is across the street from the main gates and will cost you $13 to park for the game. For a more affordable option, consider the lot at 1106 S. Tryon St. You’ll pay $9 to park in this lot, but have to walk a few blocks to the ballpark. A number of uptown hotels have lot and valet parking on game days, but you can expect to pay between $15 and $30 to use them. Of course, if you’re staying in the area and are already paying for parking, you can walk over to the ballpark.
If you’re keen on saving money and time, you might want to give SpotHero a shot. This is a service that allows you to pay for and reserve a guaranteed parking spot ahead of time. It has several inexpensive options only a block or two away from the stadium. By booking parking ahead of time you’ll know exactly where you’re headed before you even leave your house.
