The 10 Longest Career Home Runs by Aaron Judge

Aaron Judge is the type of player who makes you stop what you’re doing and watch his at-bats. Every time the 6’7″ slugger steps into the box, there’s a good chance that he’ll blast the baseball over the outfield fence.

The Yankees outfielder has already racked up numerous accolades in his career, including breaking Roger Maris’s long-standing American League single-season home run record, winning American League Rookie of the Year and MVP honors, as well as earning multiple Silver Slugger and All-Star Game nominations. Here are the 10 longest home runs of Aaron Judge’s career to date.

10 (t). 457 feet: April 22, 2017, at PNC Park

The Yankees don’t play at PNC Park too often, but Judge made his ninth inning at-bat during an April 22, 2017 game count. The towering slugger crushed a fastball from Antonio Bastardo 457 feet into the second level of seats in left-center field, with an exit velocity of 115.6 mph, for his sixth home run of the season. Judge went on to lead the major leagues with 52 home runs in 2017.

10 (t). 457 feet: August 16, 2017, at Citi Field

Judge’s 37th home run of 2017 took place in New York, but not in the Bronx. Instead, the long ball came at Citi Field against the Mets and Robert Gsellman. The Mets righty left a slider high in the zone, which is never a good idea against a hitter like Judge. As expected, he put a good swing on the baseball and sent it 457 feet into the upper deck in left-center field. With an exit velocity of 117 mph, this is the second-hardest-hit ball on this list.

8 (t). 462 feet: May 15, 2023, at Rogers Centre

Judge has hit tape measure blasts at many parks around the big leagues, including north of the border. His longest home run at Rogers Centre in Toronto was his 10th of 2023, and came on May 15. Judge smacked a full-count slider from Jay Jackson 462 feet to the party deck in center field. The baseball left Judge’s bat at 114.9 mph.

8 (t). 462 feet: August 27, 2019, at T-Mobile Park

Injuries limited Judge to *just* 27 home runs in 2019, but the slugger still managed to hit some balls very far. One of his longest home runs came in Seattle on August 27, off a fastball from Yusei Kikuchi. Judge’s home run flew 462 feet and smacked off the batter’s eye after leaving his bat at 114.1 mph. It was the 17th of the season for Judge — and, more notably, the 100th of his career.

7. 464 feet: August 11, 2023, at LoanDepot Park

The longest home run hit in 2023 at Miami’s LoanDepot Park came off Judge’s bat during an August 11 matchup. Miami’s Jesus Luzardo threw a high fastball that Judge clobbered with an exit velocity of 113.8 mph. The ball smacked off the top of the batter’s eye, 464 feet from home plate.

6. 465 feet: July 22, 2022, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards

Given all the games that the Yankees play in Baltimore each year, it only seems fitting that one of the Judge’s longest career dingers came at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Judge smashed his 36th home run of his record-breaking 2022 season against the Orioles on July 22, sending a changeup from Tyler Wells 465 feet over the bullpens in left-center field. Of the 62 home runs that Judge hit in 2022, none traveled farther than this one, which left his bat at 113.5 mph.

5. 467 feet: August 20, 2019, at Oakland Coliseum

Judge’s longest home run of his injury-shortened 2019 season came in Oakland on August 20. Judge put a no-doubt swing on a middle-of-the-zone fastball from Joakim Soria, sending the ball 467 feet into the top row of the field-level seats in deep left-center field. The home run had an exit velocity of 116 mph.

4. 468 feet: August 2, 2020, at Yankee Stadium

Facing Boston’s Matt Barnes on August 2 in an empty Yankee Stadium during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, Judge connected with a curveball with an exit velocity of 107.4 mph, blasting the baseball 468 feet to left-center field. The home run was Judge’s sixth of the season and earned him a round of thunderous (piped-in) applause.

3. 471 feet: May 23, 2018, at Globe Life Park

When you think of tape measure home runs hit at Globe Life Park, the former home of the Rangers, you can’t help but think about Nomar Mazara’s memorable 505-foot blast in 2019. Judge’s longest home run at the Texas ballpark didn’t travel quite as far, but it ended up as the fifth-longest home run at Globe Life Park in the Statcast era. The home run in question came on May 23, 2018, against Tony Barnette. Judge launched a fifth-inning fastball 471 feet to deep to left-center field. The home run, Judge’s 13th of the campaign, had an exit velocity of 112 mph.

2. 495 feet: June 11, 2017, at Yankee Stadium

As a rookie in 2017, Judge was the American League Rookie of the Year, an All-Star and Silver Slugger, and finished second in the A.L. MVP voting. He also hit 52 home runs, including several of the tape measure variety. His long ball against Baltimore’s Logan Verrett on June 11 was one of the most impressive. It had a whopping exit velocity of 118.6 mph and flew 495 feet to the top of the left field bleachers.

1. 496 feet: September 30, 2017, at Yankee Stadium

While Judge’s 495-foot blast on June 11, 2017, created a buzz around baseball, he topped that mark by a foot on the last day of September in what ended up being his 52nd and final long ball of the campaign. This blast, off a slider from Toronto’s Marcus Stroman, sailed 496 feet over the left field bleachers and had an exit velocity of 118.3 mph.
