People are quick to brag about the renowned Fenway Frank, and while it’s a tasty hot dog (and part of the overall Fenway experience) the ballpark’s menu has plenty more to offer. In fact, you’ve got a number of quality options before the gates even open. Yawkey Way is lined with concession stands that offer a variety of food choices you won’t find at every ballpark, including seafood, Cuban sandwiches, kettle corn, burritos, nachos, pizza and Asian fare.
As you’ll find at every park, concession stands line the concourse around Fenway, and you don’t have to look far for such ballpark stables as popcorn, beer, soft drinks and pretzels. A smart choice, however, is making your way to the concession pavilion beyond the right field corner at the end of what’s known as the Big Concourse. This area is home to an extensive assortment of concession stands selling such items as chicken tenders, steak and cheese sandwiches, grilled sausages, pizza, fried dough and even some healthy choices. The pavilion is filled with tables and chairs to give you a spot to enjoy your meal before you head back to your seats. And, as an added bonus, you can look for your favorite player’s handprints in the Red Sox walk of fame-style bricks.
If you’re looking for something a little fancier but that’s still open to regular ticketholders, the State Street Pavilion is your best bet. Located in the upper level behind home plate, this first-come, first-served eatery gives you a spectacular view of the field and entire ballpark, upscale items such as ribs, seafood and steak, as well as an extensive drinks menu.
