Hadlock Field is located east of Portland’s downtown core, which means that it’s convenient to reach and you won’t have to fight the heavy tourist traffic that’s common in downtown Portland in the summer months. Best of all, the ballpark is located within sight of I-295, making it very quick to get there.
If you’re north of Portland, get on I-295 South and follow it to Exit 6A (Forest Avenue). Stay right off the highway and merge onto Forest Avenue, and then take a right onto Route 77 (State Street), which takes you through the picturesque Deering Oaks Park. At the lights, turn right onto Park Avenue and follow the road for a mile until you see Hadlock Field on your right.
If you’re south of Portland, take I-95 to Exit 44 (I-295/Downtown Portland) and then follow I-295 North to Exit 5A (Congress Street). When the exit ramp splits, stay left and follow the signs to 22 East. At your first lights, turn left onto St. John Street, and then merge right at the next lights onto Park Avenue. You’ll see the ballpark right away on the left.
If driving from the West, you can get to Hadlock Field by taking either Route 302 West or Route 25 West into Portland. If you choose Route 302 West, it will turn into Forest Avenue, so watch for these signs. Follow Forest Avenue until it passes under I-295. After it passes under the highway, turn right at the second light, which is Park Avenue. Follow Park Avenue for one mile until you see the park on your right. If you choose Route 25 West, note that it will turn into Brighton Avenue as it passes under I-95. Follow Brighton Avenue and merge right onto Deering Avenue. Following Deering Avenue along the edge of Deering Oaks Park, and turn right onto Park Avenue. Hadlock Field is ahead on your right.
