Dwyer Stadium is situated in a neighborhood that is largely residential, so there’s not much in the way of nearby attractions to check out before the game. That said, there’s a community park beyond Dwyer Stadium’s left field fence that often plays host to youth baseball games, especially on weekends. You’ll easily be able to hear if any game is taking place once you step out of your car, and you might enjoy watching one of the games for a few minutes.
Perhaps the biggest thing of note is that Batavia is just a short drive from Rochester. Only 33 miles separate Dwyer Stadium and Frontier Field, home of the International League’s Rochester Red Wings. This means that if both teams’ schedules line up, you can easily do a day-night doubleheader in the two cities. If you’re planning to stay in Batavia for a day or two and are interested in gaming and horse racing, Batavia Downs is the area’s main tourist attraction and is located just a short drive from the ballpark.
