Because of its downtown location, parking for a Chihuahuas game is a breeze. Other than a VIP lot at the corner of West Franklin Avenue and Durango Street, there aren’t any “official” ballpark parking lots. That said, there are many parking lots and spots in the neighborhood around the ballpark. The Mills Plaza Parking Garage, the Civic Center Parking Garage and the Union Plaza Parking Terminal are all sizable and are situated just a few minutes from the ballpark. Additionally, there are nearly 2,000 metered parking spots on various streets in the ballpark’s neighborhood.
If you’re staying at any hotel downtown, you also have the option to simply leave your vehicle at the hotel and walk to the ballpark. Another option is to check out the city’s streetcar system and use it to get to and from the game. El Paso’s streetcars are original streetcars from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s that have been retrofitted to modern standards, giving you a fun and unique way to travel around the city. You’ll want to get off the streetcar at the Cleveland Square stop, which is within sight of Southwest University Park.
