Harrisburg’s little slice of baseball heaven isn’t called Metro Bank Park – it’s called City Island. True, the home of the Senators is the island’s crown jewel, but there’s plenty for you to see and do on this family-friendly island long before Metro Bank Park’s gates open.
If you can, drive slowly over Market Street Bridge to capture views of the Susquehanna River, but as soon as you hit City Island, be prepared to hand over $3 to park. The parking rate is decent by Eastern League standards and the parking lot puts you nice and close to the ballpark – not that you’ll mind walking around. If you need handicap parking, follow the road around the ballpark to the handicap lot, which is located beyond the right field corner.
